「石牛山」位於新竹縣關西鎮，海拔671公尺，山頂設置三等三角點第6247號基石，山名據說來自山頂形似牛背的巨石，列名台灣小百岳之一。登山口位於關西鎮「李樹下」的石福宮，約在羅馬公路 34.5K 的北側。分左、中、右三線，左線較為平緩，中線需多次過溪與攀爬峭壁，右線為較遠的腰繞路。

庸人兄最近都走桃園大溪的山頭喔!這座石牛山我也去過，走的是右去左回的逆時鐘路線，因為這樣比較安全。我印象中最深的就是，右線有一段腰繞巨石的路，只有兩條樹根做為踩點及路徑，下面就是溪谷了。光要攀上那個巨石就費了很大的功夫，再踩在那兩條樹根繞著巨石而過，更是心驚膽戰。也第一次遇到外國...
